Hey there friends and family,

Thank you for supporting us and joining us for our dream wedding in Joshua Tree. We couldn’t be more excited to bring you to this delightful hideout. We’ll be hosting a weekend of high desert greatest hits, including hiking, BBQ, music, art, architecture, and stargazing.

We know that Joshua Tree is a far journey for all and a new experience for many. The greatest gift we could get is to have you join us in this special place.

Rimrock Ranch
50857 Burns Canyon Rd
Pioneertown, CA 92268

Rimrock is an 11-acre ranch just outside of Joshua Tree National Park near Pioneertown, California, a tiny town originally built as a weekend retreat for western actors like Gene Autry and Roy Rogers.

Travel + Lodging

Where to Stay:

We suggest booking in Pioneertown to be close to the events. Our favorite Airbnb is a bit of a drive, but it’s a serene little escape with an outdoor shower, access to the park directly from the house, and surrounded by families of jack rabbits and quail.

The idea of a group of you getting a house together and going all Real World: Joshua Tree on us is what our dreams are made of. Best Western ($) - we have a hotel block

We are still finalizing the hotel block situation. Thanks for bearing with us as we work out some options and rates! Below are some good options if you want to book now:

Getting to Joshua Tree:

Nearest airports: The closest airport is Palm Springs (around 45 minutes), followed by Ontario California (1 hour) then LAX (around 3 hours). Southwest flies through Ontario, California and has some affordable options..

Book early, keep us in the loop, and if you are coming through LAX, we can help with shuttle arrangements.

Other things to consider:

Cell service

In general, cell reception is limited throughout the high desert. It’s kind of a gift. Remember to arrive at your destination during daylight, and pre-load the directions on your phone. Even better, buy a map! #oldschool

October weather is the desert at it’s best: mid 80’s during the day, low 70s at night. It will be dry heat - none of that east coast humidity that we love to hate. You can see the current temperature at the ranch here.

Pack brimmed hats, closed toed shoes, colorful caftans, jumpers, and your favorite jean jacket. If looking for fashion inspiration and general Joshua Tree local artists to support, check out Block Shop Textiles and order a scarf in advance, they are wonderfully handy + pretty as peaches.

To Read

Desert Solitaire
Edward Abbey, 1988

Colleen reads it every time she’s in Joshua Tree. "This book may well seem like a ride on a bucking bronco," added Edwin Way Teale in the New York Times. "It is rough, tough, combative...passionately felt, deeply poetic."
